Exploring Siargao: Where to Eat?

Day 1: Dinner at Harana Surf Resort      We arrived late in the afternoon and decided to get an early dinner so we could have a long sleep because tomorrow will be a busy day. After settling our stuff in our room and and changing my shoes into slippers, we took our cameras and drove our rented motorcycle to  Harana Surf Resort.       You need to have a dinner reservation,  which was something that I failed to do. Luckily, they still had available tables and they reserved one for us. We were a tad early since dinner starts at 6 PM so to kill time, we went outside and strolled at the beach and I was surprised to see from a distance surfers breaking the waves! They were really far away in the sea that the thought of surfing on Day 3 scared me. I watched them as they patiently waited for a wave to catch. Even from afar, you could tell the amateurs from the professionals. I took a close-up picture of one of the professionals as he let the wa...

Exploring Siargao

The Surprise      My boyfriend planned this trip all on his own so we could celebrate and make our third anniversary memorable. He didn't tell me about the trip until two weeks before the travel period. He wanted to wait a week more but saw that I needed a pick me up because problems at work have been very upsetting and surprising me with a Siargao trip definitely worked!      Siargao is in my bucket list so I was very excited to explore its wonderful beaches and SURF. I checked the weather a week before we left and was disappointed to see rain showers throughout our stay. I told my boyfriend that whatever the weather, we must surf! I am not leaving Siargao without trying it. Why else go there, right? Just kidding! Transportation: Airport to Resort      We took the van provided by the resort we're staying at priced at P  400.00 /person. We're staying at Patrick's On The Beach located at General Luna where most resorts are situated....

We needed to think of a quick getaway for Saturday. We read on the news the week before that a blackout will happen for almost the entire day on Saturday at the city where my boyfriend lives. Now, being the caring girlfriend that I naturally am (I can already sense a quiet protest from my partner), I suggested to my boyfriend that we go out on that day so he doesn't have to suffer the temporary non-existence of civilization.       Since there were no good movies to watch, he thought that it would be a good idea to go to the beach. Beach. Sand. Sea. Yes! He let me choose the place and I was already running through my head the possible destination of our mini-escapade. I recently had a team outing with my workmates and I thought he would really enjoy the beach where we went. It's a going to be a 2-3 hour ride, which is the least of our worries, since it was Black Saturday, hence sin trafico mi amigo!      So where did we go for our q...
